MIGRAIN: Ideology and binary opposition

Blog task: binary oppositions and ideology
Watch this clip from BBC Question Time with Russell Brand and Nigel Farage. The BBC deliberately placed the two against each other and the episode resulted in far more people watching and tweeting than usual.

1) What examples of binary opposition can you suggest from watching this clip?
their is a very clear binary opposition between left and right wing that is being shown in this clip another is between Russel brand and Nigel farage and one that was a topic of conversation is then opposition between the rich and the poor.

2) What ideologies are on display in this clip?
in this clip you can see the clear ideology of the poor or working class struggling and being angered as towards the end of the clip a woman stands up and starts shouting toward the previous speaker and Nigel farage stating that the working class are struggling and deserve more but the money and power is controlled by the elite. another ideology that's being presented is the fact that Nigel farage thinks the UK is corrupt and crowded by immigrants and that they're to blame for the lack of jobs and the struggle in society.

Ideology and your own choice of clip

Now do the same activity for a clip of your choice. Embed the YouTube video in your blog and answer the questions in detail:

1) What examples of binary opposition can you suggest from watching your clip?

there's a binary opposition of good and bad and another of right and wrong as the morals of the wolf are questioned as the wolf decides to trick red riding hood and tries to eat the grandma but the wood chopper comes to save the day and peace is restored.
2) What ideologies are on display in your clip?

in this clip you can see a clear ideology between innocence and corruption as the wolf is shown to be the villain and red riding hood is shown to be the innocent and gullible young child and is then deceived by the wolf only to have her grandma eaten and then saved by the wood chopper.
